Dylan Brown is overrated

I'd say he doesn't want to go to Newcastle. I mean compared to Sydney itnisnt that desireable. PlusnHis family is from NZ and I am guessing he visits and they visit so being close to an airport is helpful.
My guess is he wants to squeeze more out of us and that's the delay.
Bitch please.
Newcastle shits on Sydney unless you want aids. it’s quicker for me to get your neighbours place from here than it is for you to.

Comparing Le Bron James to D.Brown.
f**k me dead lol

I mean of course you'd make concessions for Le Bron. But for a player of Dylan's level?
Yes that's exactly what I said. Don’t anyone tell you you're not an astute entrepreneur. 4D chess as they say.

Credit to Ryles though, the writing was on the wall for Dylan when the new coach arrived.

Seems to have been frozen out of the leadership group (after captaining the side on occasions last year?), and told in no uncertain terms the existing contract option needed to be activated by Round 10 deadline with no upgrades available.
Sorry mate but I have it on self appointed expert authority that that's just a very bad rumour. As you were.

i dont think hes over rated

but the knights will be expecting him to do something he has failed to do so far in his nrl career.
Dylan has been a star covering the multitude of Eels defensive inadequacies over these past years. His attacking highlights reel is not so exceptional. Im a massive fan of his but it was his work in D that made me so. Best defensive half in the game bar none. Hopefully new Eels systems will eventually be strong enough without him. Its very exciting.

Not sure why people are defending the PO if Brown was off contract for 26 he would have been able to sign with another club in November we would have told him hey either take this cash in November that year or we are going to sign Blaize and your offer is gone.

Sanders signed a year prior so that hypothetical is out the window.

For those who wonder why people are still posting in this “overrated” thread, (considering that he’s just signed the biggest contract ever), should feel relieved that perceived underperformance = betrayal is not exclusive to just the Eels.

the club gave both their halves POs in a supply constrained market for halves. just think about how risky that is, we're lucky we didnt lose both of them.

Well it's not like Moses is contributing much atm.

We can't get him on the park and has probably got a substantial payrise as well.

So, finally Dylan has made a decision.
It was a no brainer though, and he'd have been mad not to take it.
An extra 2/3/400 k's a year for the next 10 years is a substantial amount of money in totality.

Firstly, even though he has strung us along for a few months, I'm glad he has made a decision this early in the season.
He can now get on with knowing his future is secure and concentrate on putting in for the rest of the season.
However, whether he has the mental fortitude to do that remains to be seen. I have my doubts.

While ever he is wearing the Blue and Gold, I will support and cheer him. Next year however, he can gagf.
I just hope that he is not booed while wearing our jersey this season. That reaction from fans is completely counterproductive.
It is however, up to Dylan to prove his words. That his allegiance and loyalty is solid to our club this season.
His performance in Melbourne on Sunday was not a good start.
Now that he has his future secured, I hope he can just concentrate on being the best player that he can.
For one season. For us.

If Eels fans didn't boo Dylan after he pleaded guilty to charges of sexual touching, then they're not going to boo him for signing elsewhere for next season when he was (effectively, PO aside) off-contract?

If any do, then their priorities in life might be a little confused.
