I’m hoping Brown plays centre this weekend and kills it.

Will help us to possibly win the game, but also will show that Newcastle is overpaying for a centre to play out of position in the halves.

Win-win!

Dylan defended well but was a little lost in how to find the ball.

Otherwise Ryles inferred in the presser he is pretty much there to stay for time being.

Well we know Bailey isnt wearing a FG jersey ever again for Parramatta so the choices are limited atm.

Dylan's been picked more on attitude.

His defence has always been strong and never been a problem.

Pretty much. With Russell injured and Simonson has spat the dummy, the option is either Dylan Brown or Samrani. Between those two, Brown is the way to go.

Plus I think he deserves a home game send off after 7 seasons and 140+ first grade games.

He was very quiet but wasn’t really a game that suited tbh…. We seemed to pack away the early left shift probably due to the conditions.

I was disappointed that one play where he had a catch pass to put Fox away but he dropped it and got hammered by Valemi. As a natural half you’d expect him to ice that

To his defence, it was pretty much a hospital pass. Yes, fast hands or a tip-on would have solved it, but Footy Dean is very pedestrian in his shifts.

Footy Dean does little in the role as 5/8 other than a bit of support for Mitch, understand it’s not a popular view but missing Galvin put a hole in the side.

Doesn’t alter the fact we need a couple of decent recruits to take the next step up the ladder, how they managed to have basically an almost full roster for 2026 is strange, but we need more than potential. Anyway see how they move forward in that area.

On that intercept didn't Semi Valemei looked like he was running through treacle on that interception.

Whatever pace he may have had its obviously gone

I thought he was off and gone bro.... gave me PTSD of Maika on a break hahaha

Valemi actually looked gassed the whole game, definitely built for power/explosiveness not endurance.

I think Sivo would have run him down easily he was that slow. Even Smith was catching him.
