Still Covell after 3 rounds for mine. He is massive value.

He is a genuine goal kicker and great at it.
Why doesn't he take the drop outs too.
So yeah Macca you picked right in Covell.

He doesn't take drop outs because Noddy has been doing consistant 50m+ kicks!

I think into a headwind last week he got just over halfway... I always thought he didn't have that much power? Guess he has been practising.

Yeah well I dont know what has happened, but I have seen 4 60-70m drop outs this year. That is phenomonal distance.
Still the biggest kick of any kind I have ever seen in my life was merrits drop out last year which went over the opposition 40 on the full & actually into the front stand at shark park.
Unbelievable.

Too right Surely. It was bad enough when he was here always being injured. So FUC#N FRUSTRATING.
No wonder his marrage ended in a divorce. Who would want to sleep in cotton wool?

Hutch was a major loss for the Bulldogs in my eyes, even before we lost Price. All reports said he wanted to stay but didn't want to spend the next 3 years stuck behind Price, O'Meley and Asotasi. Once he got his weight issue fixed he was always going to be a major force. Watch a few of the games he played last year in first grade, he ran harder than the other forwards for the bulldogs but lacked the stamina to make a big enough impact. His ability to step at pace, run good lines (he's no Mason in this area though) and to play the ball before the line will certainly help make the Sharks a more formidable force.

As for buy of the season I think it will be Dykes; his combination with Kimmorley is scary in the eyes of this opposition fan.

Anyways good luck on the weekend.

i read yesterday he's only 23 ? either way, he's younger than i thought. young enough to have plenty good years ahead and just old enough to not be a boy anymore. after his start to this season and impressive nrl debut you'd have to think he'd be part of our top 17 for the semis. (nothing wrong with a bit of positive thinking!)

although that may depend more on raper's ability to pick the best team than on actual form :?

I think Dykes is the best buy.

But I'm pleased to see that our not so big name signings are performing so well

Stosic, Covell, Hutch, Mellor.

Pity we still haven't got return value on the previous years much bigger name signings

Vagana, Merrit, Lomu, Mellars.
