Easts will beat Manly or Souths in the GF

That was premiership winning defence tonight from both sides. Awesome game, congrats to both clubs. Not a split hair between them. That defence was better than Melbournes in last years GF.

Easts need the week off. Im not sure that Manly can get past the boys with tits next week, but of they do they will roll Souths.

The rest are making up the numbers now.

Tough game will have taken a heap out of both sides.

Easts get a week off. Manly will struggle without it.

It is almost ironic when you consider that they both met in 1987 & played a top quality titanic struggle in a heatwave & the loser (Easts) effectively was no match the following week against the Raiders.

It will be a big effort to get back up - but they might be helped if the Sharks are without Carney.

SBW was particularly awesome...

Another snorefest post.

That's Einstein.

I'm suprised you have given up on your bulldogs. A true supporter like bullfrog farce backs his team.

All of a sudden you're a fan of the roosters ?

Pathetic.

We showed premiership defense against a vastly better attack.

Manly did great but they are still clearly the 4th best team in the comp. They haven't beaten a top 4 team all year for a reason.

Nah Manly haven't beaten a top 4 team yet. I must have dreamt the flogging Manly gave Melbourne a few weeks ago.

genius.

They haven't beaten a top 4 team that has actually wanted to win. Everyone knows Melbourne were in 1st gear at Brookvale. They were already in finals preservation mode.

That's some brilliant stuff. I assume they were in first gear against Souths too eh?

Are you going to say Souths didnt want to win in the minor premiership decider against us either  what a load of crap you pull out. Keep digging yourself a hole

Yes... Manly haven't beaten a top 4 team because Storm weren't trying or some shit

Correct Lucas.

It's always an argument about if the week off helps or hinders teams.

For Roosters it is a God send after that bash up. Manly have a tough week ahead after that.

For Souths, I don't think it is as advantageous. Another run would have helped them fine tune.

Storm's extra game will help them as Gareth Widdop will enjoy the extra game.

So I don't think we can say generally the week off is an advantage or disadvantage. Depends on the team, the season and who they played the week before.

I have to agree with you, except for it will be Souths playing the Roosters in the grand final.

Poor old Bunniesman - the two headed geniuss post their usual SBW worship and kindy level intelligence and no one noticed because of a BM stuff up.

Dont worry BM - I'm damn sure you'd flog Fat Crayon and his alter ego in a mastermind comp.

Lol@BM Manly are a tough team and tend to cope better with losing top players than any other side in the comp. They've been the only top 4 team not to suffer a real form slump this season. There's a reason they've won more comps than any other side in the last decade (well apart from the fact Melbourne's were stripped).

I don't think a side was able to restrict our yardage as well as Manly did for 80 minutes yesterday.' They played a really physical game, but I think they'll be able to do it again next week. They're a well conditioned side.

2 wins in 8 games at one point isn't a real form slump? And the only wins they did get at that point were against competition heavyweights, the Raiders and the Dragons. Yep. The definition of consistent.

They have shown nothing at all to suggest they are better than the 3 teams teams that finished ahead of them. They are way ahead of the rest of the comp but clearly behind the top 3.

At this stage there is a very clear hierarchy.

Easts > Souths > Melbourne > Manly > the rest.
