It's more that there's no way you can argue against Cowan being bog average. Nowhere else to go with it tbh

The only point was that you're insulting bog average by associating Cowan with it!

If he only he'd bowled in 45% of the innings we could consider his all round below-bog-averageness

Cowan is the definition of plodder, he just isn't up to international cricket, there are much better players out there who didn't go close to playing as many tests as he did.
