Eddy got offered 3 years for 600, had it cut to 2 years for 300, and saw Wes and Junior asked to leave. Houston signed on, Beau is coming, probably Smith, and Willie gets extended. Snowden is the bosses favourite, Mckinnon and Cuthbertson obviously came with Wayne. Eddy probably didn't think his job prospects in Newy were too good, especially after the offer was cut by so much. With the club still keen to put the roster together the 2 years cash might have been guaranteed but he still could've been looking for a new club in 6 months anyway.
