Well that was obviously our best performance of the season so far but I reckon Robbo would be filthy with letting 2 late tries in as we deserved to win by 20.

I am abroad so only saw the last 30 minutes and highlights so will reserve my thoughts and points for later on.

One thing I will say is the outrage over the teddy incident is ridiculous. He didn't drop at all and a sin bin was lenient.

We are in a strong position to build our season now with early points in the bank. We have IMO 2 of the 3 toughest road games coming up now. If we can win one I'll be happy.

I’m feeling pretty good being a Roosters fan atm. The boys are slowly getting their act together, combos are beginning to gel and we still have a ton of talent to come on board. Disappointed how it ended of course but I think you can put some of it down to the boys putting the cue in the rack. Kinda worried that it does show we lack that killer instinct and failing to close a game has been a thing for a few seasons now.

Joseph was the clear stand out for me. To produce that performance after the distractions of the week justifies the interest in him from the other game. Involved in everything and always a handful. Blown away by his maturity. Great performances from all although Toops’ hands are a bit of a worry. Love that Sammy still likes to chance his arm and his defence was immense and his pairing with Luke is bearing fruit. Special shout-out to the unheralded Drew Hutchison who gives his all regardless position he’s given. I went home wondering if it’s a big call to think he might turn out to be another Mitch Aubusson only to see Robbo compare him to the great man in his presser when I watched the game again.

How great is Allianz? Shame Souths aren’t there lol. Hats off to all who turned up as it was a great crowd for a Thursday night.

3 points: Jared Warea-Hargreaves. He set the tone and helped established our team's forward dominance over the Eels. 178 run metres from 21 runs, 21 tackles and 56 post contact metres. Only Daniel Tupou had more metres with ball in hand on either side that JWH. Also the Eels only made inroads when he was off the field. To me he was the key to victory.

2 points: Joesph Suaalii. 13 runs for 119 metres from 13 runs, 1 line break, 2 line break assists and 2 try assists. If Jared was the key up front, then Suaalii was the key back. All round classy game.

1 point: Daniel Tupou. 219 metres from 21 runs, 94 post contact metres, 2 line breaks, 1 line break assist and 1 try. Hi carry that lead to Keary's second try alone deserved the point in my opinion.

Not put off by Dan’s drop balls, Captain? Granted some of the passes were tough, I guess.
