PARRAMATTA are favoured to pick up Roosters flyer Phil Graham after losing gun centre Jono Wright to the Bulldogs.

guess which part of that first line of the article is gilding the lily somewhat...?

Well I don't know about anyone else- but I think this is an EXCELLENT addition.

We pick up a guy who is a quality outside back (when not injured) to serve as the replacement for Jono 'dropsies' Wright.

Graham not only runs better lines, but is faster, a better defender (not difficult) and has a freakish ability just to score tries.

Surely this will have our outside backs working their behinds off?
It'd be better if he was a quality halfback, but at least he's adding some really nice depth to the outside backs.

Graham would be a good buy as a winger only. That would leave Grothe & Graham as our starting wingers & Burt back at Wenty A-Reserves.
Burt 2010 NRL stats:
Average metres gained 42
Average runs per game 5.8
Grothe 2010 NRL stats:
Average metres gained 114
Average runs per game 14.1

These stats show that Burt doesn't do enough work from his wing & is a passenger. This side needs all hands on deck if its going to be a force this year. Watch the semi final sides & watch how much work their wingers do coming out of their end. He's not up to it. But hey he's a great guy. Great guys don't win comps.

Luke Burt came second last (79th) in average metres gained in 2010 for the 80 wingers that played NRL.

What is Osborne and Anderson's obsession with elderly players??

Next year you guys will have the likes of Hindmarsh (32), Moi Moi (32) , Burt (30) , Maitua (29), Webb (30), Grothe (31), Tahu (31), Robson (29), Shackleton (29) Graham (30)

** Age turned in 2011

Seriously that is a lot of old players to have in a squad. Granted props improve with age but what about the other players??

Sefton Boy, just so you're aware... NOONE can understand or cares about your stats post - way too hard to read

NRL stats for 2010 for 80 wingers:

Luke Burt

79/80 Average metres gained
78/90 Average runs per game
56/80 Average kick returm metres

Stats prove that this guy is past it.
Grothe & Graham hopefully the wingers for next year with Burt playing for Wenty in the A-Reserves competition.

It's a stat that reflects a very poor workrate from Luke this year.

Doesn't mean he's past it necessarily but he def needs to improve or there's no spot for him IMO.

His best footy this year was absolutely top class. But there wasn't enough of it.

Im happy to get Graham but disagree we have good depth.

IMO Reddy Tahu and Burt were all massively disappointing this year - worse than Inu for mine. Grothe was injured long term.

Inu and Wright are gone and Reddy to miss half the season.

We are flat out getting our top outside backs in the side let alone having good depth!

I reckon we could sign two more before we had good depth.

Great guys don't win comps.

why do you have to make everything about Luke Burt ?

we get it, you dont like him, we worked that out the day you joined

Sums up the whole team this year.

Except Mortimer.
He was never top class.
