Cartright is not a middle
But pushes Isaiah into the middle.

We have Isaiah, lane and marata who plays middle and also equally adept on the edge.

So putting in another middle player, we can easily push one of the 3 above to the edge.

Basically, If Cartwright leaves, there's a bench spot for a middle or an edge player not just an edge for an edge

I defended him right till his last game for us, then conceded he was a plodder. I'm very interested to watch how this pans out. TBH I hope he's shit.
Under Bellamy? I'd be surprised. Will be interesting where he played. He's another who started as an edge and was converted to the middle.

i too defended him and rated him. I don’t know know, he was never anything flash, but could defend well. I’m sure he‘ll do well.

I never rated him. I think only @TheRam rated him less than me haha

He had shit defence. Could not dominate a tackle. Usually conceded a quick play the ball and / or struggled to get to marker quick enough from the ground. Had no idea how to wrestle. Melbourne is probably the best place for him in that regard.

Also struggled to run into holes in attack. Seemed to be in a habit of trying to run over people. Works as a kid, not so much in the NRL.

I don't watch rugby union but if he couldn't even make the Waratahs he must be battling.
