It's not that simple. Some people make poor decisions when they drink, so rather than saying "If you drink, don't..." it should be "If you're a f**kwit on the piss, don't drink."

True. I've never drunk driven and i now don't drink so i just don't get why anyone would do it, mainly just cause of getting caught and charged and losing my licence.

I drove drunk and lost my licence when I was a pup.

It was in that transition period where mad merkins drove drunk every day and the introduction of the booze bus. Booze buses were on the main roads, so we drove home pissed using back roads. Didn’t work that night.

Yeah it was dumb, but not as dumb as my parents plonking me as a baby unrestrained on the backseat in a cane basket.

On a side note I am more than irked that you can now be random drug tested, face $1100 fine and 6 months ban for a positive result. So if you used on Friday night you could theoretically get pinged on Tuesday. Clearly you are no longer impaired and able to drive, yet you get punished like a high range drink driver.
