I'm expecting close to full strength for the first half.

Nathan wont play, and I'd be happy for Edwards to sit it out as well with Staines getting another look at the 1.

I'm also hoping a few of the standouts from yesterday get another shot against what should be a more experienced team.

We know Edwards is the fittest at the club but also so injury prone. I wouldn't play him
Pretty much. He will be fitter than most round 1 even if he spent next weekend on the piss.

Better to use it to look at options for the inevitable period Dylan is out injured. I'd leave Crichton in the centres though to get settled there again. We got enough of a look at him at fullback last year to know that he can play there if needed.

Cleary said post game that he will play most of the top guys. Expecting something like a full strength side to start the match.

more fringe players and less starters this week - id seriously consider not playing any starters this week at all - they won the comp last year, so their spot should be guaranteed for week 1 - use the fringe players to come against NRL quality opposition and see who impresses - they'll be playing NSW Cup Round 1- but they'll get an idea of the level they need to for NRL.

They need a few game miles in the legs before round 1 kicks off. 40 minutes is usually enough though, so it leaves time to get more of a look at the fringe guys.

Anyone know why Lindsay Smith didn't play yesterday? Was named, but I don't think he suited up.

While I wouldn't be risking Cleary, I'd love to see a proper shootout between O'Sullivan and Falls for Rnd 1.
Have Koroisau and Luai play 25-30mins per half with each to assess their combinations.

Similarly with our right-hand edge - give both Staines and May (if fit) a chance outside Martin & Critta for similar lengths of time, and see what happens.

Not sure what our feeder situation is these days (Windsor? St Mary's?), but I reckon we'll see a few of their names pop-up for NSW Cup, while our legit fringe players backfill for the NRL squad.

Fingers crossed for no injuries.

Right now SOS is in front by a bit i'd say. Falls was solid yesterday and is a great goal kicker but SOS looked like the better player and his general play kicking was better but what I really liked about his performance is how deep into the like he was going before passing, he was really making defenders commit to him before passing on those attacking plays.

Covid for Smith.

Preston Riki and Crichton were injured

Stimson and Susino that played yesterday are St Marys
