Great response to last weeks poll, thanks to all who voted, now try this one on for size.

Who has been the Eels best halfback since Sterlo retired?

Stu Galbraith
Chris Lawler
Gary Freeman
John Simon
David Penna
Jason Taylor
Michael Witt
Tim Smith
Jeff Robson
Daniel Mortimer
Kris Keating

Obviously there have been many more players wear the number 7, the list above contains guys that played at least a full season or the majority of, plus the three current players to have worn the jersey in the last couple of years.

Thanks again for your interest, to vote go to eelsunlimited.com

If you have any ideas for future polls, or anything else for the site, you'll find the email address on the site or via PM here at LU.

Only 2 of them could actually claim to be halfbacks, the rest are useless.

Where is Martin Seal, was expected to grow into the 7 after Sterlo got injured.

There was some talent in there that we never saw the best of, John Simon could have been anything but injuries got the better of him. Saw him a few years ago, at that time he owned and was running the Subway franchise at South Nowra, another bit of useless info.

For my money Tim Smith in 20005 and 2007 (before the mental health issues) and Jason Taylor in 2001.

PJ Marsh is missing from that list but he could have been a quality halfback if we'd perservered with him in that position.
