Hey Ive seen Witt try his bloody hardest before, but today that wasnt his best performance. I dont know what it is, maybe its the coaching style hes not suited with. Look enough about Witt, lets talk about the performance of Lee Hopkins in his last match. After getting knocked out early in the game I thought he tried his best. Sad to see him Hopkins go really put in whenever he played for the Blue and Gold.

All the best Lee.

Lee is a legend, Definately a player who has pride for the Blue and Gold. He ran out there got taken off, Looked to never return, then some couragous bloke runs out in the second half. Bloody Hopkins, Who else. Onya Lee, Good Luck after Parramatta. You've been great.

Totally agree Matt.
Sad to see him go, never gave anything less than 100% - some of the other players should look at Lee....that's what someone wearing the blue & gold is meant to be like.

Your exacltly right Queanbeyhole. No one has more pride then Lee, Hindmarsh and Stapleton, these 3 are seriously the only players that had pride for that blue and gold strip this year. You can say Mckinnon, You can say Pearson, You can say Wagon. But deep down, They don't care as much as the other 3 mentioned who didn't stop trying for this club in our worst season in over 6 years.

Well people 2004 is over and it was another year which could have been. I will start by sayin that injury totally once again decimated us and hindered any chance of having a stable halves combination. Other factors include the selection processes and the out of positioning of players. I think if we had another go this year we could have done better. There were multiple games which we should have won. We lost a lot of composure and pride in another season which should have warranted for better results. I dont care if Smith is head coach or someone else is. But i think change is necessary. With our key signing i still believe less than a Top 4 finish will be deemed a failure. With our recruitment drive I think we have the potential to really come out of the closet and challenge some teams. The mains factors which will lead to sucess are the players we have signed staying uninjured and a stable halves combination. I believe Marsh is our most crucial signing and he would have to be our Half. I havtn seen enough of Perenara to say he could be our 5/8 but there are many choices to be made about positioning of certain key players. I think that if we dont utilise the talent of these players we will face another year struggling to make the 8. Come on 2005

For once I can agree to NEARLY everything you just wrote. I think one thing you are certainly lost about though is Marsh to be our halfback. Get out of here, Witt is the answer to Halfback, With forwards like Riddell, Stringer, Robinson and Morrison helping him out, Along with the usuall Cayless and Hindmarsh, They will lay the platform for Witt to show his full potential. Marsh is interchange, He can come on for Riddell when he has had enough after half time. And then we have fresh legs running around and finding plenty of open holes in the tired defensive line.

Yep, Definetally Matt.
But i reckon Wade wouldn't be far off being in a similar class to those 3.
Just the look on his face when he stuffs up or when the team is going shithouse - it says it all, he's very hard on himself and hates losing.

Yeh Mckinnon is an inch of missing that category, But if you have pride and heart for that jersey, You aren't scared of the high ball under any circumstances. You don't let opportunities occur for the opposition to sniff points and that's one thing in certain games he hasn't attempted an effort at some high balls. That's where Minichiello, Hunt etc have the upper class on him. This was shown in todays game especially.

Actually, Channel 9 and Gould in particular DID praise something Blue and Gold today.

They gave Hindy LOADS AND LOADS of praise. Talked him up at every mention.

Suity

I think they missed the article where he re-signed with Parramatta until 2008. ;-)

Steve Clark is a deadset GRADE ONE felcher!

It was great to sit in the hail though...........not too many did around me, those goosters fans runnin away, didnt want to wreck their $5000 hair cuts or something.......

As for the stupid b!tch sittin behind me saying what example did Matt Peterson set for the juniors when he went Walker well...

1) What example did Walker set? Thats right, it's okay to pull hair and,
2) You contradict yourself, cause everyone knows the Roosters dont have juniors, well, thats what your club keeps coming out with!
