Eels VS Sharks Match Discussion Thread

honestly Jake, how many times can Feleti dissapoint you?? how many times has he taken the game by the scruff of the neck when we desperately needed him to??...

I'll be honest with you had we stolen that game away from the sharks on saturday I would of expected the 6, 7 and our left winger to do something and not Mateo, it's sad that it's come to this because I love Feleti but i actually didn't expect him to win it for us...

I can only keep defending his so much. His skill is undeniable but he is mentally soft or not up to it mentally on a consistant basis. He could be anything. It pains me to say all this.

My son's U12's rugby coach keeps telling the kids to put on their angry faces. Simple but effective advice for placid kids and soft NRL players.

DA often says he needs players that he can go to war with each game, if you think about it, then 2 of our most gifted players do have question marks against them in terms of 24/7 attitude

Just posted in another thread, what if DA had told Mateo to be a wide running backrower?

Was he told to override Mortz and KK and take control of the plays?

It didn't appear it to me as both Mortz and KK seemed to request for the ball.

He did his hitups, he looked good in some plays and he didn't throw any loose passes. He did a backrower's job.

Unless DA's gameplan was Feleti go do magic, then should he have taken control against the coach's wishes? The coach must have confidence in his halves otherwise Mateo would be the 6 and not the 13 who also spends time on the bench.

Look guys, I love what Mateo can do. And many of us are living in yesteryear where Mateo could get the ball and do wonders but that's not his job anymore.

Like stags have said it is the role of the 6,7 and 1.
