I've always used Wahl, and so do a few of the hair dressers I go to.

Best brand imo.

If you are clippering your head and not shaving your face then agreed
I have a Wahl and its great. Piss cheap and has lasted years

So how's the Braun?

I have pretty much used everything, from those plastic razors you buy at Coles/Woolies when I first started shaving, then Gillette/Schick razors, double edge safety razors (Merkurs are the best imo), cut throat straight razors (requires a steep learning curve) and now using an electric shaver.

What you prefer depends on how coarse your hair is, if you have sensitive skin, how much time you have to shave/need to shave every morning. The good thing with these new electric shavers is you can wet shave with them or use shaving oil which helps it glide over the skin and it does a pretty good job for me.

I bought a cheap $30 electric razor about 4 years ago. I use the 5mm clippers on it for that "designer stubble" look. Tbh, I just don't like the feel of being clean shaven. Let it grow from anywhere between 5 days to 4 weeks and then trim it back. Have done it for the past 4 years.

So anyway, the battery is now f**ked and I can only use it when the charger is plugged in. Anyone got any recommendations?

I have been considering getting one. I have f**k all facial hair and basically only grow a mo and a neckie... I don't need to be clean shaved for work but I don't like to look like a 16 year old kids trying to grow a beard either. I grab a razor 2-3 times a week.

Would electric be suitable investment? Do they last motor wise and warranty wise?

I'd been on and off with electric and safety razors....then about 6 years ago in a safety razor phase I started getting bad rashes and getting cut up real bad for some reason...so I bought a $450 Panasonic jobby from saver shop...one of the best purchases ever...it's like just wiping the whiskers off.

Seriously this ^^^^^

I went to the Shaver Shop yesterday on impulse and looked at the range
The dude in there was raving about Panasonics range

The 4 blade shaver is what I purchased for $250 (currently on special in the lead up to fathers day)

I shaved this morning and it was like wiping the hair off my face
I never knew shaving could be so simple or so quick

No rash, no soreness, just a nice, quick clean shave
