I dont know about you charles but I play footy and have had knee injuries(and opperations) and believe it or not they do come back:roll:

I just think the last thing Souths need is signing 2 centres with knee injuries i.e Elford and Mellor. Especially paying overs. But then again you have never run out on a footy field before so you would'nt know;-)

Hegarty - he is a winger, not a centre
Maddog - only plays 50% of games at the most
Cupples - he is coming from the Queensland Cup

Also, Elford can cover the lock position too.
