Elford & Wilson

Bagged, Bagged & Bagged. These two have been bagged like hell bye almost everyone on the forum for a long period of the season but tonight I think showed everyone what they can do. They are the two very strong defensive centres , and both can run well with the ball.

Elfords defence all night was outstanding, and when he did get the ball he looked great. Wilson, should never of been moved from centre after he was the best player for the Tigers last year. His defence and taking the ball up wider is beautifull.

I remember reading that Elford was the worst defensive centre in the game last week by someone on here.

I didnt say anything at the time, but Elford is continually bagged for no apparent reason.

As for Wilson, he is a centre and nothing else. Played very well tonight.

Elfords defence tonight was incredible. Put alot of strong tackles on.

And you cant blame him for the Melbourne third try, they had to many numbers.

Sheens should LEARN.

This is what happens when you play players in their positions...Wilson is NOT a 5/8th...

Firstly, theyve got to both keep their form I guess.
Secondly, Halatau & Harrison will probably be in the forwards\Bench.
Thirdly, Collis? For me its first division and unless theres somthing in Paul Whatuira I cant see then I figure he should be in the same place.

I have bagged Wilson mercilessly in the past mostly for his goal line defense and I know he's read a bit of our bagging so I would like to say congratulations on a good game... Just make sure you keep it up.

Elford had a very good game tonight. Lets hope he keeps it up. Tonight he showed he can be a very effective hitter in defense which NOBODY has ever doubted. His problem has always, even with Penrith, been in reading a play. One game doesnt wipe away some pretty shoddy defense all year

cheers

Now we got a problem.

With these to in form Where does that leave Halatau, Harrison and collis

And Paul next year

   They play 1 good game and then all of a sudden they are the best centres we have at the club

Sure they played 1 good game together and about time for Wilson to play a good game also but next year these 2 won't be our centre pairings!!!

It`s obvious Sheens likes playing big centres to compensate with our lack of size in the forwards. If this is the case then Dean Collis should be eased into 1st grade playing on the wing. Not that he is all that small himself being 92kgs and he`ll probably put on a bit more size over the coming off season.

Yeah Ive bagged Elford and Wilson.....and I'll bag any other bloody player that tackles like a 9yo girl (Wilson/Saints game/Gaz 3rd try) or cant catch or hold a ball (Elford regularly/numerously) thruout the season.
They both went well last nite.....did what they were supposed to be doing all year!!!

Unit....this is ur cue to bag the baggers.

Yeah well its good to see the Elford baggers eat their humble pie today. Sure he's made a few mistakes but he's big reason as to why we have improved this season. I know one game doesnt change a thing but seriously he's had more good games then bad games.

As for John, his best position is centre easily, was taken outta there because he was playing poorly, i dont see him figuring there next season though, Whatuira and Elford for mine.

I gotta say that I think Sheensy overestimated Wilson's talent. Timmins was once a centre, who played lock, and filled in at the SOO arena as #6. They seem to be very similar in style these 2, and after the NZ game, who could blame Sheensy for sticking Whitelegs at #6 for the Dragons game?

Okay, he shouldn't have been there for the Rorters game, but he probably thought that was his bad game, and he deserved another chance... I can't second guess our coach, but he probably knows more about our boys than we do, I'd say.

Congratulations Whitelegs, and you certainly showed your centre partner how to HOLD ONTO an intercept, not get tackled and/or drop the ball.
