So disgraceful watching this team. I'm actually going for the cowboys now.

Hoffman and NORMAN need to gtfo. I understand keeping the same lineup for the finals but they are not first grade players AT ALL!

Why isn't Hodges our fullback full time? It looks like such a natural position for him...

Thank god we lost that, I couldn't stand watching another match with these idiots in it, there needs to be a few sackings in the off-season for us to stand a better chance next year.

Hoffman has to be the first to go, he's easily the worst Fullback in the competition at the moment, that was highlighted when Hodges moved to Fullback and had instant success and we automatically looked more dangerous.

Tough that Beale is off, he is our most dangerous back behind Hodges at the moment, Copley had a solid game, hopefully he shakes his injuries in the off-season. Reed needs to lift his game as well, he's had an extraordinarily average season.

I guess we have to stick with Norman and Wallace for next season at this stage, Hunt played awful and Corey and Peter had /solid/ games I guess.

Points:-

3. Hodges
2. Copley
1. Nobody

Absolutely atrocious. Agree that several heads have to roll. I'm starting to wonder whether Griffin's doesn't have to as well.

He is the one that has such "faith" in these duds afterall. He's the one who can't (or won't) accept that perhaps some of his faith has been misplaced...

Come to think of it. Can anyone recall a team which had such a bad run yet no one was dropped? Losing 6 straight and no one dropped at all.....Ridiculous!

You guys are lacking confidence, it isn't a personnel issue. The younger the side, the more of an effect confidence has on a side. Don't ditch Hoffman, he plays tough but the NRL has really sorted him out this year like it has for guys like Dugan etc in the past.

I would be getting Hoffman in the gym in the off season bulking him up big time and a few others as well. The Cowboys could easily win the comp so even though you are disappointed you got beat by a side in form with world class players.

I shook my head when they moved Hodges, if it was a legitimate option they should have tried it in a few games at the end of the year, you can't move a guy 40 minutes before your season ends and expect fluid combinations.

Anyway you guys will bounce back.

Hoffman was dropped... for being late to training.

Whispers that Griffin is too soft on the players.

Who exactly do you propose to bring in instead?

The only one I can think of is Baptiste. Other than that, that's our best 17 I'm afraid.

Cheers typicalfan, I love the Cowboys attack and hope they romp it in over Manly.

One more thing. Jack Reed was absolutely awful tonight and has been for most of the season. He was completely outplayed in ever facet by Brent Tate tonight.

Typicalfan, we are lacking confidence because the realisation has set in, that we simply don't have the cattle. We haven't recruited sufficiently well over multiple years, to ensure that we are a top team.

We won't be a top team for the forseeable future with this playing group, this captain and the way the club is being run at present (like a media outlet, rather than a football team).

So many of these guys are shadows of themselves right now.

Remember when Reed shut down players with ease, Gillett breaking tackles and setting up tries?

If you look at our roster this year, we should have played a lot better. Plenty of test, State of Origin players there.

To me, the intensity wasn't there. Look at how we played with about 20 minutes to go tonight. All of a sudden there were off-loads, a little bit of razzle dazzle ... something that just hasn't been there since Origin. Why leave it until the game was over?????

I may be wrong, but I would think that the Broncos would be in the bottom 2-3 team when it comes to off-loads. We are so pedestrian.

Anthony Griffin will have to re-think his tactics for next year. To much safety first for me.

I disagree that it is a confidence thing (well at least I don't think that is the only thing). My opinion is that the other sides have worked the Broncos out. We have about 2 attacking options at most, and sides simply have to shut those down.

Then they just have to worry about scoring at least 3 as we are unlikely to score more than that.

Our attacking players just aren't good enough, simple as that. Spine = Wallace, Norman, McCullough, Hoffman.

I think most of us Broncos fans will be cheering on the Cowboys now. You guys have the cattle to do it this year. Dogs and Storm also looking good though.

p.s. the two plays are:

1. Out the back to Hoffman. The defence either reads this and shuts it down immediately, or Hoffman doesn't have the skills to set up his outside men.
2. Kick it high and hope

My head usually drops when they go for 2.

Tate is one of the form centres of the competition, and won QLD the series this year IMO. Reed is not a better centre than Tate but one day he might be.
