No, and they shouldnt imo. 2 games do not make a coachor make up for the mediocrity of the last 2 years or so.

This d*ckhead has run the club into the ground over the past 2 years. No matter the results this season... any other coach could have done better.

He may still prove all of us wrong this season but two wins don't mean anything at the moment. Come back at the end of the season if we're successful then we might get off his back.

Penrith fans have been far too quick to blame Elliott instead of the players, I think after what they did to my Tigers last night he's got a bit of a team together here. Of course beating Melbourne in Melbourne might be a bit much, but I think they can do Brisbane the week after.

He gets too much credit for our wins. We win despite this wanker holding us back IMO. The NRL should look at changing the point scoring system so that a win with him as coach is worth more points.

He has had great players ever since he got here. But all he has brought to the club is a wooden spoon and 12th place finish. I can't see us doing much better this season. We certainly won't win a finals game with him as our coach. We'll be lucky to even play in the finals.

Oh don't forget he brought us our second biggest loss in history (one of my personal favourite Matt Elliott clangers!).
I'll give him his 10 rounds and get behind him if he proves his worth, but it doesn't change the fact that he's been rubbish for 2 years, only has a job because of our financial situation and I think we have reasonable reason to rubbish him as we see fit.

Sammitt on the wing..... lewis in the 2nd row... I truly believe elliott will put petro at fullback before his coaching days are over.

So, does he get TOO MUCH of the blame when we lose???? Honest question, would love an honest answer from all Penrith supporters on this one!!
How could he get too much of the blame when we lose? I feel that when we lose it's his fault, and when we win we manage to do so despite him holding us back.

I know that people are suggesting the senior players weren't keen to do as he wants... but he still kept selecting these blokes. We had the best juniors in the NRL, and he still insisted on pick those blokes. These blokes leave our club and are nearly all in sensational form.

Matt Elliott is responsible for choosing teams full of his favourite players, rather then our strongest possible line-up. He is responsible for choosing players out of position, and playing mind games with some of our best young juniors. He has made a few of them uncertain about their futures here.

It's going to take more then two wins to change my mind. We won Round 2 and 3 in 2007.... we still ended up with the wooden spoon.

I offered to drive him to the Eastern side of Flushcombe Road Blacktown earlier on this year as I did not like the way he was playing mind games with Wade Graham but I am man enough to admit I was wrong, he has the team playing very well at the moment and if they keep it up I think that has earned him till the end of the season. As for next season I am prepared to wait a while as I am not a fan of either Georgalis or Kearney
If we were to change it should be for someone with a good rapport with juniors like Shane Flanagan or Alex Melville (He coached a lot of our juniors)

Yeah. Easier said then done. Nice guy or not ME like Brian Smith alienates lots of fans. Comes up with many unusual answers rather than a simple straight forward answer, Mind games etc.

While we have had a good start to the season. In all honesty the exodus we have had over the past 2 seasons because of personality clashes. We need results he has the team he wants. NO EXCUSES in 09

2 wins in the first 4 rounds don't make a season. As someone else said previously, we were in a similar position in 2007, and finished with the spoon.

Let's wait until we are well into the season, see where Penrith are, and then make a call on him.

He did clear out alot of dead wood and for that I am thankful.

Shame about every thing else though.
