Empire by a mile. Empire should've pointed the way forward for Lucas, but Lucas sacrificed character development for special effects, hence why what should've been an awesome 3rd movie and prequel trilogy was dull and lifeless. Even Sith, which wasn't too bad, suffered for the complete lack of character development over the previous 2 films.

That said, I was never a fan of the scenes at the start of the movie on Hoth, for me the movie gets going when they make their escape.

Jedi I loved when I first saw it (I was 7 or 8 at the time), but looking at it now it's probably my least fave (even behind Phantom Menace). And as for the constantly changing ending to Jedi, AARGH!!!!! :crazy:

Empire by far.

I enjoyed Jedi as well but Phantom Menace really soured the whole saga for me. I can't remember which magazine it was, but one of the year end Sci Fi review mags summed it up perfectly.

Phantam Menace Trailer. 3 minutes that every Star Wars fan had waited decades for.

Phantom Menace. Pity they added 120 odd minutes to the trailer.
