One end of Veltins arena, Germany (roundly considered one of the best modern stadiums in the world) is terraced at the request of the fans. The Bundesliga is the best attended sporting league in the world. I suppose they should make it all seater?

Note the general admission lawn, the 1st base picnic area and the left field picnic experience.

The above examples of hills or standing room are world class stadiums though; the suburban NRL grounds are not. To me the issue is not the feasibility of hills but rather the fact that we want to grow crowds upwards of a 20k average. That will never happen with the current set up. IMO the only way it will happen is some kind of centralised stadium strategy where you end up getting as much away support as home support for games between 2 Sydney teams. For it to work in Sydney you would need a minimum of 3, possibly 4 stadiums though so it’s hard to see it working.

left field is at least 2 levels of seats + boxes.

what you have there might be the home of their A or AA team.

Haven't read this thread for ages, but it's gone about 655 posts too long lol.

Anyone who thinks we should leave suburban grounds is a f**ken balloon head.

/thread.

Trolls Newman, trolls in my opinion.

1. Perth Red, doesn't even have a team.

2. Bunniesman, just some dumb kid from Coffs who doesn't even attend games.

3. Don't know who Bobmar is.

Bobmar ...
strange...the real Bob Marley would be against seats you'd imagine.

Spot on.

"I said do you remember when we used to sit in the government yard in Trenchtown." No Woman, No Cry.

Pretty sure the government yard was nothing like ANZ Stadium, Bob. Maybe see the Mods for a name change old mate lol

Those empty seats look awesome

and yet home and away they were seen by more people than the entire NRL season by the small matter of 1.7M people. At home they were only 700000 short of the entire NRL season.
so yeah, all those empty seats in the least favoured seats in the stadium.

They do play 162 games a season then finals, so its a bit of different kettle of fish.
