Sadly it is a broken jaw for Ronnie.

He's undergoing surgery today in Brisbane.

Poor bugger. Wish him all the best for a fast and full recovery.
Played well yesterday and would have been a contender for solo try of the year until he unselfishly handed it off to Metcalfe for his first NRL try. We'll miss him.

Very sad year for Ronny with origin debacle now this. I will say though if you’re going to have a season ender it’s better to be a jaw than a leg or shoulder. Recovery for 2022 much easier.

I love Ronnie. 21 years old, and I cannot name a player that does more off the paddock for good causes and in just being an all round top fella.

My favourite human in sport. Deadset champion.

And he still walked the ground to thank the fans. I can’t remember any player of his age ever doing what he does. Not staged or told to do it is a true role model.

Hope he likes soup…. Been there myself with the jaw - awful injury.

Jaws and ribs, horrid for the first couple of weeks. Those first couple of weeks are worse than any ACL or broken bone.

I even tore my banjo string playing, but would take that every time over a broken jaw.
