As we look forward to a better and improved 2026, think its important we show some character and win some games that are left, especially with our captain back.

Last 7 rounds last year were frustrating but we competed, considering the injuries we had , Barrett thrown in, And had Ryles tapping blokes on the shoulder. Asi was the half.
Only 3-4 players remaining from then that make it to todays 17 (that Ryles wants to keep by the looks), so we are basically close to the squad Ryles has re-built, Baring a few players Eg Matto, Lane..

2024 - the last 7 rounds (rd 20 was a bye)
Won 3 games (dragons , tigers, warriors) (initially thought we had 2 wins)
destroyed Penrith, before ref let then 'roll the ball' last 10 mins 34-36
destroyed Broncos bombed like 4-5 tries being conservative, 24-30
solid loss to Storm 14-32
Bad loss to the Chooks in a swimming pool environment 38-14

Last 7 games this year - how many should we be winning ?
Surely we can do better than last year, with Moses back?

Souths, Knights are there for the taking...
Roosters and Cows at home should be 50/50 they aint playing well. Should win one of those surely ?

Rd 21 Broncos
Rd 22 Storm -H
Rd 23 Cowboys - H
Rd 24 Souths
Rd 25 Roosters - H
Rd 26 Warriors
Rd 27 Knight - H

Other than JDB coming , we will have the same squad next year.
So I'm looking forward to some good wins closing out our year and look forward to next year..

Parra 👏👏👏

We have a chance to win the final 5 games the next 2 weeks will be ugly...

JDB coming doesn't give much comfort.

I am looking forward to the off-season and seeing what happens in 26..

yeah, he will improve us but thats about it, not a game changer

we need a lot more than JDB

Time to Suit up!!!

I am still holding out for an amazing forward signing for next season...

Next year we will have Sam Tuivaiti another year older so that's 1 piece of the forward puzzle..

We will win a few with Moses back.

I have been surprised at the level of bullshit pointed towards Ryles in the last month. Particularly when I raised concerns last year and got smashed.

We need to stick solid for a period and let him work his magic. He has transformed the team enormously so far even if the results aren't there yet.

If we start wobbling and recycling coaches it will lead us nowhere. History tells us that.

Has he so far transformed the team apart from players?

Our defensive efforts are still poor and have been for a long time.

So I will give Ryles time to change the bad culture at the club. Hence why he had a clean out.

We are doing what people who were critical of us under BA wanted us to do. We are playing football, but we are very inconsistent.

It will take some time.

BA was looking to make the most of what we had by keeping it simple. It was at times very successful.

JR has decided to change what we do. Arguably a noble thing to progress, but its not an instant fix.

We are good for 60 mins and then we drop off dramatically.

In more detail, we start poor, always dropping the ball and giving away penalties allowing opposition to piggy back out of their half and get good field positioning.

Then after maybe 20 mins, we go on a roll. Is it because the bench comes on???
then the last 20 mins we goto crap again. Is it because the starters come back on.

So maybe we should try starting with then bench players in the 1st 20mins, have a shit middle of the game, and come back strong in the last 20?

Maybe we should blend the 2?

Alrighty

2 wins from the last 3 matches and th loss was a fairly tight tussle against The Storm. We all take that

So we have now won more games than last year with 4 to play
(yeah yeah we woulda/coulda/shoulda won more', you can say the same last year, Moses out a lot there too)

Remaining 4 games are winnable, Chooks seem the toughest hurdle

3 from 4 not out the question, which brings us to 10 wins for the year

Finals have to happen next year you would think???

I still think if Ryles doesn't steer this team into the lower rungs of the 8 next season, and they aren't firmly in the 8 in the first eight weeks of 2027, then decisions will be made and he won't be extended beyond that season into 2028.

All signs are there we improve again next year, and a big crack at things in 2027 ?

A big proper signing or two wouldn't go astray till then

Well you would like to think Moses plays 20+ games next year we will be in the finals.

Has played 9 games this year and we won 4 already.

But thats the 1.2mill dollar question for Parramatta - Can Mitchell Moses body hold up for a full season anymore.

The only season he has played 20+ games and we missed the semis was 2018 which was a disaster all-round.

Natural growth & improvement with the young guys and another pre-season under Ryles i see no reason why can't push for it though.

R.Smith,Kutoga,Ionghi where names none of us really heard of before this year.
JAC is in career form. D.Walker been superb. Williams for what would of cost also quite good.

Ryles deserves credit for this.

Our defense looks far better and we look like a team.

I still think but we lack class to compete with the big boys

Maybe we should get a v good 6 instead. Then if moses is down, the 6 can dominate just as moses does. Like Hughes/Money, Cleary/Luai

It's not out of the question but bottom four at best based on what we know at this point in time. There's an off season along with potential further signings to negotiate first before I could seriously comment further. When merkins can start saying with genuine confidence that the next game in 2026 is very winnable then I know we're heading in the right track.

When any team relies on one player then that team is in trouble. Panthers have delivered many times without Cleary, we should be able to get in a position where we can do the same without our star half.
