I asked the commentary about the lack of Dutch representation, they pronounced Hallatia correctly (yay!) and said Ten was the only one asked/wanted by the coach etc and was unavailable

It sounds like the Afgani Hamid Hassan "done himself a mischief" in the field..

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/latest/2012/01/08/cook-keeps-england-bubbling-115875-23688867/

Fast bowler Hamid Hassan, who was to suffer a nasty injury chasing to the boundary to try to cut off the four which brought up Cook's 50

Afghani seamer Hassan tumbled over a picket fence and into the metal and concrete tramlines around the sightscreen, badly bruising and grazing his arms and legs.

The match was held up for several minutes while he was assessed at the ground, before being taken away on a stretcher to hospital.

Ouch..

I just went & watched this on Youtube..

Halla won't like it because he gets Kallis..:p

The kid gets it up over 140 kmp..

PB's a bigger Kallis fan than I am, but I am SAfrican. That's some great digging though. I am a big advocate of the associates would love to see sides like Afghanistan continue to rise

nawwww.
Mohammad Shahzad is a decent bat though and in the first innings it was the middle to lower order that made all the runs anyway

looks like it's stumps on day 2, combined XI 90/5, lead by 186. Mohammad Shahzad is currently on an unbeaten 34.

The associate batting only starts from 6 onwards anyway going by the 1st innings.

he averages 70 odd in first class, whilst that may have something to do with the strength of his opposition, he has managed to average similar bating figures against number one ranked side. Same goes for his keeping

match has become kind of even in the final day. A few quick wickets in the final session has gotten the combined XI into the England tail sort of. Broad and Davies batting at the moment, they have given the associates a few chances. England 212/6, trail by 49

Nabi has taken 2 wickets, Dockrell, Rankin, Williams and Horrie's man Haq (who has been economical too) have one a piece.

Worth mentioning, because I doubt I have already that this match was entirely the brain child of the ECB, who approached the associates high performance manager about it who jumped at the idea and agreed to coach the side etc etc

Associates declared 9 wickets down with Majid Haq on an unbeaten 26. That's starting to look like it was a dud move as England level scores. Still 6 down, inside 10 overs to go and as I type this, one more wicket falls - Nabi's third of the innings
