And? like I said when png can draw over 40k we can consider them better supported than England.
When png host a World Cup with Australia’s in it and a stadium big enough they will

englands crowds are pathetic no two ways about it

What happened two weeks ago when the png stadium of only 15k was over half empty? Shall we just pretend that didn’t happen?

yeh well come back to me when that happens, until then stop talking bs.

I was talking about png v cook is. Sigh

I was hoping england crowds would be around the 15k mark. 12k ish is obviously where the fans see a game against a second tier nation. It is what it is, more work needed and more regular games wouldn’t hurt.

Honestly, I know crowds for Australia aren't crash hot, but England are shocking when it comes to drawing crowds.

England vs Tonga in St Helens, which is a half an hour drive between two of the most populous (over 15 million people live in Northern England) cities in the UK, gets a crowd of less than 13'000.

Australia vs Samoa, in Townsville, which has a population of less than 200'000 over an area of around 700km squared, gets over 18'000.

Honestly, English fans have gone soft and don't deserve Southern Hemisphere teams to tour.

It’s an English rugby league thing

challenge cup crowds are down 30k from their high same with the super league grand final down significantly

club game funnily enough have stopped falling

Nothing new tbh. Big games in World cup and games against Oz are the only big sellers in uk.

18-25k v australia
15-18k v nz
11-15k v anyone else
pretty much where England is at outside of a world cup

Apathy of rl fans world wide to international RL shts me to tears. These are the same fans that complain at lack of international games and ask why we can’t be like union. the Matilda’s have sold 100k tickets in perth and the kangaroos struggle to crack 20k, go figure.

There’s a cost of living crisis in north of England, probably something to do with it. a French club never getting a record gf crowd, wasn’t bad though considering. Challenge cup lost its lustre when they introduced the grand final.

A crisis which doesn’t affect soccer

you know australia is going through a similar crisis and yet the nrl just set record breaking crowds

stop making excuses

But on the positve, England looked far better than the nrl tongans in both games. 3 of englands spine are under 24 and Shaun wane seems to have them playing to a good game plan.

nz need to come over next year with Samoa and give up getting thrashed by australia.

Based on the crowds I think png and Cook Islands would be best

samoa vs Tonga at Eden park will be massive

Chalk and cheese, epl is the biggest comp in the world. SL is a niche sport in a few towns and cities in north of England.

haha australia is? You’ve got no idea!

Based on perfomance yeh it’d be lots of fun watching. England rack up 60 points on those two, that’ll draw the crowds, stop being a dck

watchig. Australia thrash everyone is boring as batsht. Nz and Samoa should come to England next year for a decent tri nations.

So soccer fans are richer ? Pretty weird given many soccer clubs are in the north
Sigh. When you have a massive fanbase theres a good chance a larger section of them are going to be richer and have the spare cash to spend on going to games, yes.

Ok do the combined nations thing again at the lsv

that’s seems to be the limit of English ambition
