A number 6 getting 30 and 2 wickets is very valuable. Anything more is a bonus realistically. It is not as if I am expecting more than a 10 or 20 from Clarke anyway!

but he averages 36

Which is a joke as Clarke averages 40 and Hodge averages 58, and Clarke gets picked becuase he looks good and is marketable!

Mate, I think you've got it this time...Clarke gets picked cos the selectors want to nail him...

Jesus Locky. If 30 is acceptable for a test no.6 for you then you're even more deluded than I thought.

30 and 2 wickets is a pretty good return. Honestly this is how I do it:

1 wicket=20 runs
2= 40 runs
3=60 runs
4=80 runs
5= 100 rns

30 + 40= 70 runs contribution. That is a reasonable return.

But what about Clarke's value of 30 runs in the field. Hahaha. Locky, at the very least you make me laugh (although that is after hours of being frustrated at your stupidity, but still... laughter is laughter).

Watson is pretty reasonable in the field anyway. Plus when you have Hussey and Hayden and Ponting that is enough great fielders!

Well Clarke just past Watson pathetic "70 runs" so I guess that means he should be at number 6 ;-)
