I was about to ask the same. Can't find a thing and have been looking for a while on the official SL site. Seems only the Bottom 8 fixtures are out so far. Is there still another round of the regular season left or something?
Yeah bit of a fail i can see the shield but no top 8 as you say.

Maybe it has something to do with the york situation?

Latest from the local york news

Cant beleive bradford bottled it in the championship, not sure what went wrong with their season can somebody in the UK elanorate? With the salary cap getting a major boost in the 2nd tier next year it should make promotion in the super 8's a more likely scenario, for this year only leigh stand a chance having recruited from super league and the nrl heavily but cant see the status quo changing anyway

So on top of Bradford in difficulties, Wakefield seemingly playing on the road next year now Sheffield need investors to prevent them winding up. if the Rfl would just fund the championship clubs to a reasonable level we wouldn't have this happening on a seemingly annual basis.

Sorry cannot post the link on my phone. But the Sheffield club has released a statement today

Yeh. Usual route is to go into administration. Hopefully with no debts a club finds a backer and they survive. If not they can be liquidated and the company no longer exists. Doesn't mean the club disappears though, they just get started up again under a different company name

Shame about Bulls, I was at uni there and enjoyed first year of SL at odsal, seemed like RL had finally cast off its small mindedness and had a bright future.

46-6 win for Toulouse today in top of the table clash. They will likely meet again soon for the promotion match.

Can anyone here shed any light? Sounds like it could be the beginning of the end for Hemel, I hope not.

Why is this being done? Is the squad that dominated by northern lads or what?
There are no Northerners in the squad, or virtually none. Hemel have been badly struggling on the field for the past two seasons and it seems like the chairman decided that the best way to compete was to abandon any concept of development and become Dewsbury's reserve team. Which obviously is a stupid move and saw a huge backlash from everyone. Some Hemel fans are blaming the coach for alienating the local playing base, which might have some legs as a lot of their players have left the club over the last two seasons which is part of the reason for the improvement of London Skolars. Apparently there were protests at last week's match with fans throwing flares onto the field and disrupting the game. Looks like the club have scheduled a board meeting for next week and will hopefully reconsider.

Here is the original press release BTW: http://hemelstags.com/club_info/latest_news/article/50777/hemel-stags-press-release

It's sink or swim time for a lot of the League 1 expansion clubs really, they've been involved for a couple of years now and they can't just keep making up the numbers and getting flogged every week. We've seen Newcastle and now South Wales have been bought, rebranded and are looking to move up, Gloucester are also trying something new by offering scholarships at the local university. You can't blame Hemel for wanting to improve but this isn't the way to do it.

As for Sheffield, first casualty of the new P&R system although they've been very unstable since their stadium was demolished a couple of years ago, they pretty much lost touch with their support base and the city of Sheffield when they had to play a season at Doncaster a few years ago.

Thanks for the link! Geez sounds like terrible news all round, both for Hemel and Sheffield.

That is a ridiculous decision by the chairman at hemel. How does anyone come to the conclusion that is a good idea. a dual registration/feeder club would be acceptable to send some loan players down the country to strengthen their squad but to relocate training etc is ludicrous. surely the Rfl would have to sign off on this decision? It defeats the purpose of hemel Rlfc even being in league one

At the risk of sounding like a broken record..

If tv money was dished out more fairly this wouldn't happen..

League one clubs are actually going to see a reduction in the grant they recieve from the RFL..£75,000 from £90,000

League 1 doesn't even have a TV deal, Sky no longer have the rights. Toronto are televising their own matches next year and they will be replayed on Premier Sports.

We are all broken records on these forums spud. Both governing bodies continue to make blunders or no decisions in the case of the NRL to the frustration of many

Yeah it's ridiculous for League 1 clubs to survive off 75k.

The chairman said they have struggled with only using local players. Dual reg would be great with some London Broncos players joining Hemel and Skolars.

Out of interest how much would the clubs in league one spend on player payments and what would the other costs be like at that level? Obviously travel would be a big one
