English Super League expansion to USA?

The NRL's insecurities prevent expansion - more worried about putting teams in one stadium than fixing the plaguing issues.

There should be a team in Perth, as well as a 2nd NZ team. Arguments can be made for Darwin and Adelaide as well. 20-team competition in 2 conferences. 18 games home & away in your conference with 6 games out of conference and 2 byes. Top 4 from each conference contest finals, winner of each conference plays off in the Grand Final for the champions.

How the AFL don't put a team in Tasmania is baffling. Their loss I guess.

They have two teams in Tassie, Hawthorn who play out of Launceston and North Melbourne who play out of Hobart. This is the current AFL strategy, long term they appear to favour North as the sole team.
RL should do the same with Adelaide.

Regarding NRL expansion..I've said elsewhere, it seems very unlikely that new teams will be introduced so at the very least one game per round should be played "on the road" with Perth & Adelaide each getting a game a month and "country" getting 2 games throughout the regular season..

So a 4 week schedule would look like this

Wk1 Perth
Wk2 country
Wk3 Adelaide
Wk4 country

and repeat

Nah. Two Sydney teams need to move to Adelaide and Perth and each team should pick one game a year to take to the country. We basically need teams to go broke so they are forced to move. West australian shark's and the south Australia Tigers. Knights and manly to play both encounters on the central coast.

That's not going to happen..take the rose tinted sunnies off!! Yes it should be like that but it's not and never likely to be...so a compromise is to give Perth & Adelaide a game a month and give the bush a couple a month.

When Toronto and Montreal make it to the Super League, then the USA will become interested.

If you can expand to the USA you should have USA teams in Boston, New York (both have lots of English and Australian expats), and Philadelphia (where David Niu has done a lot of work) and Jacksonville (where Spinner Howland has been outstanding). Once these teams are established in Super League you can think about further expanding and creating a USA conference, with cities like Chicago, Houston, San Francisco (where rugby union is strong) and perhaps Los Angeles.
