Ennis Retirement - the beginning of the end?

It seems to me and a few others I know of that our form slump has also coincided with Mick Ennis' retirement announcement.

I would have thought this would make the players more determined to win the comp but it seems to have had the opposite effect?

What do you guys think?

Do you think he'll still be a grub in retirement? Taunting people on the street, shaking his bits at passes by?

He will 100% keep doing this. I mean a day doesn't go by that I don't see mick ennis waving his bits around and abusing people in the street.

I don't think it's got anything to do with Ennis' retirement...purely coincidental.

It has got to do with getting old though.

I wonder whether it has impacted Barba's focus. Article during week the man love they share. Barba has lost confidence and form in the past few games.

The whole do it for Mick stuff is fan jibber doubt it impacts players at all.

Frenzy.

I'll guarantee they are affected by it in a roundabout way. Ennis is only firing at about 70% and thats not to do with retirement

Maybe his head gear is too tight.
But yeah in all seriousness the down hill slide seems to have started there and they need to sort there shit out post haste.
Be good to see them get the chocolates

Why announce your retirement in the middle of the year?? Do it after the last game

That's all very nice. However how about 5 Ls. Cos that's what we will face.

Oh and a trip to Canberra, who did the Cowboys play in the first week?

Oh that's right....

Just saying it how it is. No point fluffing anything.

This is our best shot in 20 years and we are playing it out perfectly to the Cronulla theory.

Ar'old he has a point.

Premiers often limp into the finals & then go from there.

Need resident stats man, Stake Removed, to give us end of season form of premiers over the last 10 years & see if it really matters too much?

The bottom line is, premiers always come from the top 4 & we have been guaranteed that for 6 weeks. No coincidence that our form has wavered since.

We will be sweet!
