Even Oswin braved the cold and rain yesterday to support the team. My choice of matches this year hasn't been terribly great though. Both were against great teams (Roosters and Broncos), and both were losses.

Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed the chill yesterday -- I was all rugged up with four or five layers of clothing on, but nevertheless it was an enjoyable experience. We hardly got any rain, and the Premier League match was a good spectacle.

I'm disappointed in the Eastern Grandstand spectators -- specifically the ones that bought tickets but didn't come. We couldn't get tickets anywhere near the halfway line because they were sold out. It's such a shame that the spectators wasted their money on seats that didn't have bums on them.

You cant help if people have paid their money & don't want to come.
Why didn't you just go & sit in the empty seats if you didn't like where you were?

What's wrong with Season Tickets? I had one last year. The only game I missed last year was the Melbourne one.(I made the mistake of going to my Cricket Presentation. I didn't let on to anybody that the last normal season game on my 23rd B'day would be my last match though)

I have a season ticket this yr and resent that. Not all of us don't show up to games. I got 3, one for me, my dad and my freind... sometimes dad can't make it as he doesn't live here, but I ask someone else if they want to come.

I assume you meant you resent those who buy season tickets and don't come.

Not the Newi 1 yesterday as i don't live up there, but i atteneded the Canberra V Knights game last year when it was pooring rain and - 6 and i didnt leave my seat (except to get food) until the final whistle and my seats were not under cover. i FOllow this team like a religion and would do it all again if i had to

btw IanG i saw you walking around the front of the stadium before the game, and i also saw melliez and i think Kaz  its wierd seeing people from the forum at games.

You might have seen me, with Kaz & melliez - I was one of the ones in ponchos in around bay 3.

It was so bloody cold, coldest football game I've ever been to. Honestly if I didn't pre-buy tickets & have Karen coming I don't know if I would have gone because I'm paying for it today. I feel like absolute crap lol. That wind was just horrid.

Yeah great to the season ticket holders who go to all or most games, but the ones who dont, like yesterday, just give them back if your scared of a little wind.

I have never been so cold in my life.

I was trying to steal all the blanket from Risa & melliez, but they were holding on to the blanket for dear life. :(

I was there, great game. Couple of times Joey hopped up and the wind blew me over, but he was there for me, picked me right back up again, and he kept me warm with that big, juicy, bottom of his. Thanx Jo xoxox

I did like where I was. I just think its a sign of how whingey we are when we buy tickets but don't go to the game -- on mass, I might add.

The Knights budgeted for about 20,000 spectators apparently. I'm sure they're glad that so many spectators pre-purchased their tickets, or they would have had a lower number of actual spectators, and less money from bookings.

people are too soft now, we might need to build an enclosed stadium one day with electrically heated seats
I stood on that hill in the pouring rain with fifteen thousand packed in supporters against the Broncos back in 1990, cold as hell, mud everwhere, now theres comfortable seats in place instead, and it hasnt been filled up once, and they are building a top section to go on it

I remember a similar match in 1998 (the last time the Broncos won in Newcastle) -- it was about Round 8 I think.

What is it about the Broncos and the weather they bring? ;-)
