well i thought shinobi sounded exactly like the butterfly effect but yes probably not their sound anyway. ont tend to listen to that type of music so no idea who has had it before them

who cares if they suck or whatever...at least theyre having a decent dig at making it

i think grothe has a decent voice, yeh the sound is very 99 early 2000's but who cares, it actually reminds me of Shihad

Opinions can still be shared.
The sound really isn't from an era, it's a sound that so many bands are trying to emulate. IMO, nothing at all creative about this, just more bland Australian music.

If grothe's band actually makes it anywhere they'll have some confused fans in Indonesia. Look to the right of the video. There's another band with the same name.

never said opinions cant be shared....im just saying who cares at least hes giving it a go. for me it sounds like late 90's - earlys 00's too me when shihad/pacifier and even grinspoon were the main aussie/nz bands with this sound (thats my opinion)

most aussie rock these days is trying to be more hardcore u dont get this rock that much....unless its bands like butterfly effect....(imo past their prime)

then you have bands like Karnivool who try the heavier end of this type of rock which is far more successful these days
