The cracks are getting wider in the Saints facade, Leeds getting stronger all the time ... ominous for the red vee.

Look for Saints to lift.

They have to go back in the dressing room with Anderson soon...

Lee Smith has chosen a fair night to play the game of his life. Brilliant performance. Webb could not of played better himself.

Brian McLennan and the coaching staff deserve an enormous wrap. The tactics and execution has been perfect from Leeds. Any doubts I had about McLennan were put to rest tonight. An outstanding performace as well.

Wellens - magic take but slides over deadball line...

One inch in it. Foot just above in-goal turf when caught it.

Tough call. Unlucky.

Short drop restart. Saints ball back!!!

It's an even better win than last year. With that three-quarter line I thought they were no chance. The rain might have helped but it was their guts in defence and smart play in attack and in kicking that won it. Lee Smith was awesome, just the kind of fullback the poms have been waiting for perhaps and he would have never played at the back were it not for an injury to an import.

The game was also a good example of why I'd prefer to watch a Super League game over an NRL game. I thought, as a game and given the conditions, it was brilliant. The reason why it is called the 'great game'.

I watched Lee Smith play fullback for England Academy in 2004 and he was the best player on the field, even better than the Australian fullback > Greg Inglis.
