Obviously the pressure for the 14 esl teams is going to grow,im sure if utc is succesful toulouse will keep trying to get in sl,one thing in favour of the 14 teams is that a top 8 final series would bring in more money for the top teams .

Remind me again how many teams have flauted the salary cap in Aus?

To my knowledge The Bulldogs have been found guilty. Any others I don't know. I'm not that familiar with the Oz game. I am aware that Uncle Mo can't find enough room at Wigan for players yet Bradford can.

To be fair, it's not that long ago that Wigan had special dispensation to ignore the salary cap altogether because of their 'special contracts' which obviously no other club in the land had. One presumes that a club like Wigan which, slightly longer ago than that but still recently, were in the habit of handing out ten year long contracts to people who weren't pulling their weight (Farrell) and which is still run by the same people aren't going to find financial competence and planning for their financial futures to be their forte. Let's remember this is the club that used to buy up talent and have it languish in their second string sides just so other clubs couldn't sign those players.

Bradford are likely able to find room on their salary cap because the club is run by professional adminstrators, not by professional gamblers like Maurice who see it as an occupational hazard to sometimes lose. All clubs are subject to the same audit procedure so until Bradford fail the audit the nod nod wink wink why-oh-why nonsense remains just that, nonsense.
