Scotland 1 - 0 Holland

Russia 0 - 0 Wales

Croatia 1 - 1 Slovenia

Latvia 1 - 0 Turkey

Spain 2 - 1 Norway

----------------------------

Biggest shock was definately Latvia. But i cant believe Holland lost. What the hell is wrong with that team? Brilliant on paper, crap on the field. It really is a mystery.

My Predictions to go through:

Holland
Wales
Slovenia
Latvia
Norway

The Dutch manager spend the last month saying that Van Nistelrooy and Kluivert can't play together, then partnered them up-front. Mind games, or did he just back down?

My prediction:
Scotland
Wales
Slovenia
Turkey
Spain

These are more or less the teams I want to qualify rather then the ones I think actually will:

Scotland
Wales
Slovenia
Norway
Turkey

I was the only one to pick Latvia to make it :D

Holland 6 - 0 Scotland

Latvia 2 - 2 Turkey

Slovenia 0 - 1 Croatia

Wales 0 - 1 Russia

Norway 1 - 3 Spain

Quite a few shocks there. Latvia especially. Holland's win will also make people stop and think about their chances of winning the whole thing.

For Holland losing to Scotland would be like having a bad dream.

That would make as much sense as Souths making the top 8. I mean how on earth can you lose to Scotland?

Thankfully they pulled their finger's out and went and smashed Scotland.

Disappointed not to see Wales make it as I would of loved them to gone to Portugal next June.

Mind you Turkey had three players missing including Emre.

Thats no excuse at all. They've been spouting off for the last two weeks on how superior they are to the Latvians and how they'd give them a good pasting.

They deserve to be knocked out, the arrogant 5hits.

Holland will give Euro 2004 a fair shake, they have some absolute world class superstar players like Van Nistelrooy, Kluivert, Mackaay, Davids, Stam, etc. They also got some brilliant youngsters coming through like Van Der Vaart, Wesley Schneider, Aijrian Robin, add to that the depth they have, and you got a scary prospect.

Yet they successfully manage to lose to the Scots. and not make the 2002 WC.

Anyone know why Davids wears glasses on the field? Eye problem?

Davids had/has eye problems. It seems Holland figured out that Van Nistelrooy & Kluivert find it difficult to play on the same team as they both have similar games.

I agree, plus Kluivert ain't in the best form of his career right now. I think they got too many good options to stick with something that doesn't work. Wesley Schneider had a top game against the Scots and could be an option.
