is this going to me an ameteur thing or what?
or is it going to be irelands best side vs scotlands best side etc etc etc
is it fully serious?
it would be great if it was all their top sides
and what does England A consist of?
does that mean its all the players that didnt make it into the GB side or what?

It's more or less semi-professional with a smattering of full-time players and of amateurs.

Yes.

It's a very important part of a development strategy. For once the RFL is doing something right.

England A has come class young players, some of whom should shortly be taking on the Kangaroos for GB and possibly even beating them. They're in the second team because Waite has chosen for the test squad all the old favourites who, past experience suggests, are not good enough. The cretin is too timid to give young talent a chance.

Here are just some of the quality young players in England A.
Martin Aspinwall (Wigan Warriors)
Rob Burrow (Leeds Rhinos)
Marc Calderwood (Leeds Rhinos)
Matt Diskin (Leeds Rhinos)
Micky Higham (St Helens)
Andy Lynch (Castleford Tigers)
Keith Mason (St Helens)
Danny McGuire (Leeds Rhinos)
Waine Pryce (Castleford Tigers)
Jamie Rooney (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats)
Danny Sculthorpe (Wigan Warriors)
Danny Tickle (Wigan Warriors)
