I've got to agree Wise hasn't set the world on fire.....he wasn't the only one who dropped the ball today  - but he hasn't really done anything amazing on the wing.

I agree - Peterson to teh wing and keep O'Dwyer in the centres....O'Dwyer looked good out there today - he also made a few errors but his defense was great and he looks like a talented player.

Go easy!

Yes he dropped some ball - so did Grothe, Vella, Hopkins, Dykes and Wags, and I thought they all played very well.

Wise improved tremedously over last weekend's effort. He still has a tendency to drift in from his wing, but when he did, he put pressure on the ball carrier and often the pass went astray.

My only complaint about the match? The ref. A TWO MAN STRIP ON TALLIS, RESULTING IN THE PENALTY WHICH GAVE TONY ANOTHER TRY Bulls*it!

Penalty count 17 to 6 to the Broncs? Bulls*it!

That idiot cost us some more points, too.

The Knights have a much more dangerous backline than the Broncos and the backline has to be defencively soild against Newcastle. I cant see Kativerata containing Tahu.

I would leave Petersen in the centres because he hits like a forward and seems to be getting very good at picking when to creep-in which will put a lot of pressure on Gidley and Tahu who can get a bad case of the dropsies. If your going to replace Kat. , Laingi or Mackinnon on the wing as both are playing well in reggies.

They should learn to defend when the opposition is 5m out.
Especially learn to stop dummy half runners close to the line

Unfortunately, they don't attack the guy with the ball.

They need a man on HIM, AND look out for the nearest threat.

I think the fact that Brisbane's backline had a few rookies is the issue.

Tony is not a great player, but a decent player and very dangerous in attack.

The number 22 was a teenager making his debut and I thought he did OK.

Hunt in the centres did OK, but again - he's 17. And he was very good in defence.

De Vere played his usual solid game.

Kelly was looking dangerous in attack and solid in defence.

Compare this to: Seage (a 24 year old First Grade rookie fullback who's done pretty good, but is still a rookie)

Tahu ('Tim Tam Temper Tantrum' Tahu is hot and cold; can be brilliant and then in the very next play sloppy)

Gidley (OMG if this guy isn't the most over-rated player I don't know who is!)

Richardson (a former Australian centre; but I haven't seen him do anything brilliant yet)

I can't remember who plays on the other wing

The Knights and Broncos have different backlines. I wouldn't say Newcastle's is better; I wouldn't say Brisbane's is better.

But I will say something: as good as Johns is, he gets frustrated easily. That is how we beat him last year. Frustrate him and Newey's momentum suffers.

Also run at Perry, get hit high and enjoy the resulting penalty.
