Ex All Black - the next Ian Roberts?

I noted that ex AB Mark Ranby has publically come out supporting same sex marriages etc. The article - NZ HERALD - says that he is straight although has many gay friends. This rumour has been around for a while.Perhaps shades of Ian Roberts ?(after reading his great book).
