I look at that list, and there are like three or four players I'd have in our current side.

Being completely objective, I'd have more of them (nine) than our current team (eight) in my 17.

2 - Tafua
3 - Lyon (although I'd rather die than have him play for the Eels again)
4 - Inu
6 - Maloney
8 - Gallen
12 - Mateo
13 - Hinchcliffe

14 - Buhrer
15 - T Williams

Lyon, Kingston, Maloney are the only 3 I'd be interested in (of the genuine ex-Eels).

A lot of blokes on that list were snapped up by other clubs at young young ages. It's not so much that we let them go, more that someone else swooped with more cash/ better offers of progression etc etc [eg Gallen]

Guys like Inu/ Mateo/ Hinchcliffe get absurd coin for their production levels, so would not be interested in them either.

Lyon - dogged us by walking out
Kingston - weren't allowed to cheat to keep him
Maloney - cap cheats were allowed to steal him with monopoly money

So of the blokes who are 'real Eels losses' and 'genuine first graders being paid the right amount' - it's only really Lyon who we've "missed out" on.

No - Blacktown City is Part of the Penrith Juniors.

Thats a turn around in circumstances, I remember a few years back the half the Raiders team was ex Parra players.

Some of those players on that list we bought from other Clubs, not alot of them are players we developed and quite a few of them we more than likely let go.

there was a point where the raiders had about five recently ex-eels playing for them.

disappointed for raiders that they look like losing a promising player of their own but it isn't like they haven't bought plenty since their glory days.

I'd take Gallen, Mateo, Lyon and possibly Inu.

Most of the others I'm not too fussed about, and then there are Hinchcliffe and Buhrer who are two of the most overrated players in the game at the moment.

if anything that list is a good representation of those clubs that rely on their own nursery as opposed to those having to rely on poaching other clubs

Justin Horo, Albert Kelly and Morts on the bench are all interesting selections for Rnd 1 2013.
