Expanding International interest for juniors

Would introducing kids (say Under 7's to Under 13's) to the wider sphere of international Rugby League be all that difficult ?

Not being a parent or involved with a junior club I can't say that I understand what happens at clubs but could things like players receiving letters etc from overseas based RL players or authorities (say the Irish Rugby League for example) be a small step.

Having a sponsor buy an International Jersey to be raffled ?

Penpals from kids in established or developing RL nations ?

Swapping of Team photos - or forming of 'brother' junior clubs in other parts of the world (like 'sister cities).

Just throwing it out there !

There should definitely be an under 20's World Cup every single year! Not sure about the need for any younger tournaments but I like the idea of sister clubs for juniors ect.

I certainly don't advocate any underage tournaments though the Com Games u/19's seem to go well, and Trans Tasman / Anglo - French visits at 16's and 18's appear to do ok. No need for anything on a world stage under 20 years old.

My push is more for education and awareness than competition.

The twelve year old Brisbane boy who today learns about League in Belgium, Jamaica, South Africa, Ukraine etc - may be the RLIF Chairman come 2050 !
