Yesterday, I needed to go to Woolworths to buy two items (yeast and sugar).
As I was in a rush, I duly went to the express register lanes. The rules for these lanes are usually that you can purchase 8 to 15 items or less. At this Woolworths, it was 15 items or less.
There were two checkouts in operation. In one checkout line, I simply could not believe what I saw. This couple in their twenties (with no obvious disability, though must be braindead), had a shopping trolley which was close to being full. It would have had around 40+ items in it, and 40 was a conservative guess for this trolley.
I've seen some people push the limits with express lanes, but this was beyond the joke. Can Woolworths staff ask these inconsiderate shoppers to move to another lane? I never see it done by staff, but they damn well should say something.
It annoys me like hell.
