I've heard a few times from law land that they have stitched up two classy players.

But having said that, I know the eels management at the start of the year, were in heavy talks, and were even discussing with the dogs, a transfer fee.

Williams would not guarantee a grand final win. No player whose individual game relies upon running the ball would. On the 5th tackle, halfway line, are you passing the ball to him? At best he creates a line break with an offload, most likely you turn the ball over 40m out from the opposition's try line. Case in point - Gallen is a running footballer, the best forward currently, yet Cronulla are still shithouse.
The most important people to grand final success are the ones who are going to direct the attack on the field (usually halfback) and the ones who are going to organise the defence (the coach during training, captain during the game). Williams does not fit into any of those categories. He'd be a very capable attacking piece, but given he walked out on at least a $500k a year contract at the Bulldogs, is he really worth that much? If we were talking about other factors like bringing in attendance then perhaps, but for grand final success he is worth nowhere near that, yet he would want more to sign

There are a lot of claims you've made which none of us have any knowledge of.

How do you know what deals have been struck by the club & other 3rd parties via manager (or even by SBW) to pull in SBW?

How do you know what SBW will do with his life, dreams impacting his decisions effecting $$$ etc. The news I have is SBW has unfinished business with NRL fans and the sporting public at large.

All the scenarios you have raised will still not stop a club from acquiring the services of SBW.
Regardless how good they are, all players are unknowns - injuries being one of many factors that can change the life of any player in any moment during an NRL season.
Would rather have SBW on our books than not - How many club wouldn't?
We have a better chance of getting to a GF and winning it with SBW on board rather than not having SBW on our books. And yes, he could get injured or suspended or has a drop in form - something that could happen to Darren Lockyer, Benji Marshall or even Jarryd Hayne.

All great players still played in a squad run by a club.
This is inevitable for SBW if he rejoins the NRL - may it be with us.

They are not to be found anywhere in nature and anywhere there are tribes still living peacefully in pristine forests. Where they exist is where all the tribes were displaced from the land and where the remnants of the tribes and those sent in to live amongst them, live under the control of the Church and its systems. Operating out of this lie, those who work for "The System" can only do harm. If they want to go with truth, they can only stop working for "The System" and do all they can to get it out of our lives.

The cogs of "The System" can come and do harm to anyone on the land at any time without having to take responsibility for it, although all harm is a curse and curses always return to the makers and holders of the curses.

The key to our freedom is in removing the power & control of the few over the land. Once we do that, they have nothing.

Who are they to think they can tell us we are not free?

Hi Dena, Doesn't solve the problem we have just laid out. We, MAN, have to fix this problem. Positive move if you ask me given the previous two coaches being binned off too quickly when things went bad even though they had some successes!
