To be honest I am glad this was fifitas pc punishment rather than being stood down during the finals

I thought beyond that prior might have been a bolter

I would understand if Fifita had expressed his support of a criminal act, but he has only expressed his support for a friend, who happens to be a convicted criminal, in a manner which was cryptically disguised so as not to be inappropriate.

The message was personal, disguised and in support of an old friend, not directed to or in any way about the Kelly family.

Two very pertinent questions:

- Isn't rehabilitation meant to be the highest aim of the correctional services? No criminal has ever been rehabilitated through being ostracised.

- If writing "FKL" on your strapping really is a totally inappropriate action because it gives no consideration to the Kelly family, then why are hell are the journalists responsible for exposing this matter and whipping up a media frenzy around it (for personal and financial gain) not being taken to task?

Years ago I would cheer for QLD in SOO because of the continued snubbing of certain Sharks players for Blues selection, so just do whatever you feel I guess

Agree with this....wasn't as if Fifi walked onto the field with a banner. Was a private show of support that he actually did without any issue for almost 3 months before the scummy journalists decided to make an issue of it. If anyone has anything to answer for as far as causing grief to the victims family it's Paul Kaarnntt and his cohorts for making a private show of support front page news.
