He's only just 20, he has time to do everything he wants to be.Ok, I'll play the devil's advocate, is this a smoke screen to get Jock Madden involved and to save face by not including Latu.
Is this official from the tigers? It could be an old quote from the original shoulder injury.
I guess the fact that he's not in the trial match might ring true.
I'm peeved off with this. The guy needs NRL experience now!
How long have we signed him? He's only just 20, he has time to do everything he wants to be.
We finally have depth, may the best player get the gig in all positions, IMO.
According to ZT, both him and Sam are signed until the end of '27 season, but they have just signed Sione till the end of '29.How long have we signed him?
We'll I'm currently flying at 25k ft heading to Hobart so I trust your info is right TmAccording to ZT, both him and Sam are signed until the end of '27 season, but they have just signed Sione till the end of '29.

We don't hear this too often, nice though.

Sione Fainu inks three-year contract extension
The Wests Tigers are excited to announce that Sione Fainu has signed a contract extension, keeping the damaging forward at Concord until the end of the 2029 NRL season.www.weststigers.com.au
It's a 3 year extension so I assume it's the same dollars as what has been mentioned.
Well done Tigers.
Yep, I thought he was very good last season as well.I'm bumping my own post but I think Sione has been our best middle forward this year and he is absolutely killing it.
He gives us impact. I thought Pole was fantastic for us on the weekend but when Sione came on he had more of an impact.
This guy is delivering well above his pay packet. It's awesome to see.
Yep, I thought he was very good last season as well.
Surely converting him to a lock or utility is madness. Game managing halves are rare as hen's teeth and given Jock Madden is our only other adequate option, can we really afford to be screwing around with this kid's development just to wedge him into first grade?
This needs to be managed carefully.
If we're working on the premise that the best 17 takes the field every week, Madden is an instant inclusion IMO at the expense of AD or Luai (and let's face it, our million dollar man is absolutely not playing Cup for Madden so AD is the one to move, and I feel Madden would complement Luai well.) So do you send AD back to Cup? He's been involved in 3 wins this year from four games. Does he get his nose out of joint and does it cause disruption?
If Latu is the long term answer in the halves, he should be playing in the halves. Coming back from injury it's probably OK that's he's playing 15-20 minute stints to get some miles in the legs but eventually his development has to take preference and he should be playing 80 minutes in cup in the 6 next to Madden/AD/whoever it may be.
More like two ⅝s in the old conventional ways. Usually creating a deeper reciever and a swinging gate.
I have always like this idea of an extra half playing in the 13 jumper, playing each side of the ruck, it will send the defence into a spin.
We now have that opportunity, with Latu and/or Doueihi (him for me) playing that role IMO.
