Failing at the last hurdle in 2003 does'nt label this current Rooster outfit as anything other than great.
3 Gf's in 4 years.
Despite Ricky Stuart's high pass marks.
Discounting the 90's version of the Bronco's teams (which enjoyed way too many unfair advantages), this current Rooster outfit is up there with the 75/76 winning team as the best club football side in recent memory.

Thank god the yawnion world cup has finally drawn to a close.

I've always thought of supporting the Bronco's, as being akin to having a street party outside the Commonwealth bank whenever they announce another record profit.

Calling the Roosters the best team in this era is a massive call, and I beg to differ.

Ok, so the Roosters have been in 3 of the last 4 Grand Finals. Big deal.
They've only won, one of them. Bit of a bridesmaid's tag developing maybe??

Sure they're one of the best teams for the last four or so years, but success in this game, as we all know, is a result of many variables.

Look what happened to Newcastle in their finals series last year.
They lost Andrew Johns to a back injury in the first finals round against St. George. Had he not been injured I'm positive the Knights would have went on to win in 2002.

A similar scenario can be made for the Roosters. No Brad Fittler = No premiership.

Who can honestly say that if Brad Fittler hadn't played in 2002, that the Rossters would still ave won??
