Mango, it's perfectly fine for you to come here and post about rugby but you have to realise this is primarily a Rugby League site and if you are going to have a go at that code in your posts you are going to attract flamers. There's now a board created just for that kind of posting, if you only want to talk about Rugby Union then this is the appropriate section for it but if you want to make comparisions with League then please use the other one. Flaming Roopy is stupid too, he's one of the people who has put in the effort to try and make this forum a more positive environment for those who want to post about Rugby, he's looking out for your rights so maybe try and show him some respect.

The record amount of mexican waves at the event is a good indication of the public's interest in the actual games.

It has actually been scientifically proven that mexican waves are a sign of boredom in the crowd

BTW - no one has discussed this "fantastic" game (on the field anyway)

I've been wondering what this "Mexican wave" is that I keep reading here. So I looked at those 2 links and saw this:

Since shooting to fame during the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, Mexican waves have surged through sports stadia worldwide. Spectators jump to their feet with arms outstretched - and sit down again as neighbours in the stand rise up.

In North America we just call it the Wave, and it was around before 1986. It's a pretty tired old routine that has pretty much died out here.

Well you don't see it much at footy games in Australia, only ones that are tediously boring, hence the plethora of waves we've seen at this world cup.

Weasel,
I will decide where and when and about what I post. I don't need some little shit like u to approve.
i have made it abundantly clear on other threads what my opinion is of your beloved ROOPY.
This is a RUGBY forum and I will post as much positive about the great game of Rugby as I like. If it attracts flames then as I have said before, don't visit.

I've been to two games in Melbourne, and "Mexican Waves" in both games started when the All Blacks were well in front and the game as a contest was over.

Might pay to note that it is a Rugby forum on a LEAGUE board. By all means post about Rugby on here, but don't indulge in League bashing whie you're at it. Remember this section only exists because the LEAGUE fans who run these forums were fair-minded enough to allow a Union section. Keep the trolling in the League vs Union vs AFL section, that's what it's for.

Space Monkey (the last of the Vacant Apes).

I say "I will post as much positive comment about the GREAT GAME OF RUGBY "and you respond by saying I am not to belittle your pretend game of league. Why does the thought of someone posting positive aspects of RUGBY ON A RUGBY FORUM threaten the mungo karma so much? Is it your inferiority complex raising it's head? Actually, I think it is your poor comprehension skills. :(
