haha, dragons cross, you were at that game, hows the therapy going

btw, from sportstab, Jermaine Defoe (Tottenham) $24.00 not a bad bet in anyones book.

Is that for leading goal scorer? If so thats a nice price I might put a 20 on that. Did you see defoe's goal on Saturday, quality finish.

i did indeed, he looked sharp all game, really made a fool of the Liverpool defence throughout. i think kanoute's a better partner for him than Keane. It will be interesting to see what Santini does when Keanes fit again.

He's going to play Keane as an attacking midfielder, a link man between the midfield and the forwards. The good news it that he will be back in 2 weeks for the game against the Brummies which i'm going to so hopefully he can provide a bit of attacking spark.

yeah, thats what id hope they'd do, we really lacked a creative midfielder. If we did this i'd assume we would need to sign a 4th striker, maybe Wiltord may come in?

Latest standings.

Thomas Gravesen and Petr Cech look like good buys to get.

I got 53 points last week.

Woohoo up to second :D

I don't think Cech would be a safe buy, as he and Cudicini will be rotating quite a bit, so unless you have a good back-up keeper it's best to stay away from that. Bloody hell where is Lampard? Still MIA! :?

Chelsea have been playing a very defensive style in the first two games and Lampard hasn't been able to get many chances for goals and assists, its the way Mourinho likes to play.

So far Drogba is looking like a £24 mil waste of cash.

As I predicted on another forum.

Wayyy to much to pay for an unproven 26 y.o.

You're right mate, he had one good season last year and suddenly he's the most expensive striker in the world.

If you saw the UEFA Cup games he played against Liverpool and the Geordies he was awesome but one good season doens't make a player.

Honestly I think Chelsea are letting Abramovic meddle in football related matters a bit too much. He should stick to signing the cheques

Agreed.

Abramovic should not be scouting and signing players. He should just be signing the cheques.

Now that we have slagged off Didier Dogsbreath he has just scored a neat goal against Palace. He's also looking good for a second.

He'll only get better too. He was bought more for his physical presence than he was for his scoring prowess. Unfortunately it looks as though he's picked up a little knock in the proces...

So am I am better getting Cudicini as back-up keeper then?
