David Furner will make a great coach. He has earnt his chance to have a go at it. You would not get a more passionate Raider anywhere.
His heart is in the job..and his experience holds him in good stead.
Very disappointed in Neil Henry. Again it raises the question "What is the value of a contract"..
Go Furnsie....

PS What odds Snoopy Collins comes into the mix????
I dont think we can afford another L plater Pete

Murray or Millward have the track record

Mal bled green as well and there are plenty of fans who couldn't wait for him to go and Elliott to take over (I was not one of them)

I agree f**k him off now - with so many players coming off contract we need a stable enviorment in the club.

What annoys me is that the club took hammering in the press when we signed him, we took a chance we gave him a start and the C#ck can't even see out his contract. Hope he doesn't believe in Karma - ALL of NQ coaching positions haven't ended well!

Actually instead of f**king him off, intsall Furner and leave the little twat to run water or something so he doesn't go upto NQ this season ( cause they are boud to hit some form soon and I don't want the media to think the sun shines out of his arse )

Sometimes I see Henry at the mall at lunch, couple of times I have said Gday to him and wished him luck for the weekend - I REALLY hope I see him soon!

Earlier this year I started a thread about Neil , in it I said there was a story going round that there was unrest in the raiders camp , the players were unhappy with him. So i see him leaving not a bad thing , I dont think it will hurt our chances for resigning some players that we want to keep, Look at the drama in Newcastle when Brian Smith was appionted , he had a reputation, he managed to sign players this year , quite a few infact. Players dont really care who the coach is , they want to play FG.
As for Dave been our coach , look at Freddy as an example, I say bring it on , cant wait to see what he can do, loved him as a player , I'll love him as a coach as well.

Oh I agree Far kim off

Just wait and see.

We will get smashed by the Titans this week, lose the week after and Neil will leave. Furner will step in and the boys will lift and we will make the 8.

There was alot of pressure from Mrs Henry to return to T'Ville too guys, so dont be too hard on the bloke. I'm sure all you married guys understand!!!

Good riddance Henry. Hope you enjoyed USING the Raiders as a stepping stone in your coaching career dog!!

F**k him off back to sh*tsville now. He's never had any passion for this club and this can only have a negative effect on the players. Get David Furner in now. He's passionate and has won a premiership with the Raiders. At the very least he will instill some passion into the players unlike that other tosser.

Surely it is time to call Daniel Anderson.

good call and one that I mentioned previously

Does management want to take a risk with an unproven coach at FG level (and if they do well lets do it now, not at the beginning of a new season)

OR

Does management want to run with a coach that has previous success in the NRL.

I can promise you bay that our next coach will NOT be Daniel Anderson.

Daniel is looking to come home.

So no stepping stone type issues.

Regardless Canberra management should at least find out if he is interested.

I dont need convincing dubster ... it's in the tea leaves mate

* more like it's in the genes *

btw mate would you be happy with DF at the helm? ... is it a risk? ... will he be sacked if his coaching results in no result? ... and how long and what do you think it will take for him to be sacked?

There is no more passionate Raider man than David Furner...He lives and breathes for the Club.
He will make a great coach, in my opinion..
Go Furnsie.....

Passion does not make a good coach.

Stuart Raper is an example of that.

I have no opinion on Furner as a coach as he does not do it yet.

Furner is a risk, Anderson is a damn fine coach already.

I agree actually, yes he is untried but he has been around for a little while now and his passion for the club is undeniable.
