Think it's fu9ked again. That's why he's been poor in the last few weeks and is opting not to run the ball like he usually does.

Not suprised.

And to think we could of had Flanno to take over. So whats going to happen when Farah needs that dreaded operation and we have no hooker for a year? bring in utilities?

I really think losing Flanagan is going to bite us in the rear with Farah and his back.

I'm inclined to think otherwise. Last week he made more dummy half runs than he has in most of his other games this year, he didn't miss any tackles, which personally says to me his back, if anything, is getting better.

f**k Flanno. Brown is the better option. He almost single handedly tore the Bears a new one at Leichhardt Oval last Saturday. We also have several other true hooking options. To suggest we only have utilities and no hookers next year is ignorant and down right geniused

I say this regardless of the fact Flanno is leaving. Brown is more in Farahs style if the worst were to happen and an extended lay off for Robbie.

Anyone else find it somewhat freaky that we have an innovative hooker in Farah, who in ways is very similar to Benny Elias, and their replacement for when they get/got injured went by the surname of Brown

Lewis isn't Michael's boy is he?

That I do not know MU.

People should get out early though on Sunay as it will give you some insight as to Browns skill and potential being realised

Wade Dunely could make a good dummy half i think.... also that kiwi fella in NYC Mauliki or something like that ?? He looked very very likely at the start of the season !

That would make sense.

Arthur, like pretty much anybody else who has ever watched him play, can see his potentioal.

It did take a while for him to find his feet after he and Flanno were split. But he is a far better, and far more dominant player because of it

Lewis Brown is awesome, I don't disagree with that, but he has never been given a crack as far as I know so I assumed he wasn't in the plans, I'm dissapointed if its true he is leaving.

Oh and Gav, mate, thanks for the added drop of the word geniused.... charming.

I was making a comment based on the fact Brown hasn't (as far as I know) seemed to be in the plans, that and I wouldn't be happy putting up with a fill in player that isn't a real hooker for a long period of time if Farah needed an op. Hence why I feel that losing Flanno will bite us. But if Brown is seriously being looked at then thank god for that, but he is still behind Farah so I can't see him hanging around waiting as long as Flanno tried to.

geniused may have been the wrong choice of words.

If you are correct and they put a utility there next season instead of putting a real hooker in the spot during injury or Originit would be tempting to throw thingsa at the coaches box continually every game.

Big difference between Lewi and Flanno is that Lewi can also be used as a lock or back rower as he has that size and strength. Whereas Flanno is a hooker and maybe a 5/8th at a push

Flanno once again struggled a bit at 5/8th or 2nd receiver last week. Adam Bennett was playing the hooking role. Stuey is more like a Buderus, Toovey hole runner adapting a Farah-esque elusiveness to his game, whereas Brown has the size to make him quite versatile as a backrower also. Brown should also learn to look for support players running off him as he makes a great initial linebreak but can be sometimes caught too often with the ball in hand.

I don't mind a creative player who runs at the line but rarely looks to get a pass away.

It's miles better than passing without troubling the defence

I don't think you understood my post. As Brown usually has ALREADY created an offensive opening he sometimes fails to get the ball away which undoes his good work of sucking in 2-3 defenders. And watching him play, he DOES have the opportunities to do so, but sometimes hangs on a bit too much. Yes plenty can say "it's the safe option", but it can be the downfall to a team effort when the opportunities for a try aren't taken.

No, I understood your post. I'd still rather have a player who does what Brown does, as you say, than have a playmaker who just catches and passes the ball.

Brown only has to offload once a game after making the hole to break the defence. Every time after that, they'd be uncertain if he were going to pass or not.

Uncertainty by the defence is the greatest asset any attacking player can have imo

Oxymoron - if they just catch and pass then they are not a playmaker.

We don't want a player who passes once for one try assist a game. We want one that passes everytime for five try assists a game.
