Farah's silence deafening

n regards to Sheens future?? Anyone think so?? I think Farah's silence speak volumes about what he thinks might be required. Looks like the usual story of Sheens going underground and comfortably surviving another "review". We have all heard Benji is his boring, repetitive rubbish about Sheens being the best coach in the game and how everyone admires his style of play.

However the captain has been remarkably quiet with the coach under the gun in the press. Usually you here alot of support. I think Robbie might be letting the big wigs inside the Camp Concord corridors about what might be the best way forward. Of course if Sheens is still there in November, Farah will have no choice but to support the guru for another season. However my gut feeling is he wants a change and is sick to death of some of the stale and embarrassing efforts by the squad. Getting grilled about the team being soft, when he is anything but most of been tough to take. Watching the side fold up and play like a reserve grade outfit without him, equally as infuriating. Sheens moving to halfback again beyond comprehension.

If we want to lock up Robbie long term we need to try and shift the guru from his decade long reign. Anyway, his relative silence on the topic speaks volumes for me.

Totally agree, he's looked frustrated for a while now.

From memory he's only played under bellamy 2009 SOS for city since and under Sheens at kangaroos. Playing with NSW this year would have opened his eyes to what he's been missing, perhaps before than he simply didn't know any better.

He is one of very few at the Tigers that is self driven and sooner or later one would have to throw the towl in, I don't think he has yet but I feet we will lose him if with Ellis gone he is the only player busting his balls week in week out.

It's not too late to rebuild a club around him, he has another 3-4 years of quality football to come.

Robbie is not the sort of guy who wants to be on the box or the back page every day, unlike other players we have on our books. I think his silence shows what he wants and being off contract in 2014 the club has to make a choice and very quick.

Ricky will make a huge offer for Robbie to go to Parramatta. End of 2013 will be his last big pay day.

Somehow I just don't think we will match the offer and it will be either money or 'loyalty'.
Interesting times.

I think that there is a lot of speculation going on in this thread and it is all factually incorrect.

Thee only fact is Farah has said nothing whilst Marshall who is way too close to Sheens to have any objective opinion has given his views. Yep, Farah contract ends next season and WT have to make a decision on what to do on that front. I'd love to know what Farah really thinks of things but he is being profesional and keeping this mouth shut at this stage, unlike Marshall.

I've always got the impression that farah isn't the biggest sheens fan. Little things like round 1 2009 when sheens started farah from the bench. In the press conference the media asked them about it. Farah said he wanted to start but sheens over ruled him. Sheens then piped in with 'well we won the game so I was right' farah rolled his eyes in disbelief.

I never bought into the garbage last off season where it was reported they don't talk. I don't think it's ever been at that level but I do think that farah knows sheens isn't the right man for the job anymore

Totally agree. It would do them both the world of good to part ways. Benji is way too comfortable in the little bubble that Sheens has created for him and as a result he is half the player he should be by now. Sheens seems unable to accept that he needs a steady organising halfback playing alongside him to do all the hard and fiddly work of controlling the game. If either of them were to take a good, hard look at themselves they might just see this. But it appears they are not prepared to do this.

Don't think Farah has dug any holes there.

Disappointing to see that SMH has resorted to this sort of gutter journalism though.

Obviously very different scenarios, but an interesting questions for Robbie about where the line is...

Dude walks into an online forum and says "I don't participate in any form of social networking". True story.

Robbie is going to find China the way he is going. To think, he is put forward as one of
the NRL's better educated player.

Didn't Sheens and Robbie have a spat on the Kangaroo tour before he was sent home to be with his mother?
Or was it more of a case of sooky Robbie not getting a run and sulking?
Can't remember

Regardless of your political views, the position of PM has to be respected.

I am glad to see Robbie has apologised.

Madunit, go and check the comments online at SMH to get a feel for the publics' view on his comment. You will quickly see you are out of step with public opinion.
