Joven Clark.... without a doubt
If he is still considered an NRL player (he hasn't played first grade since Round 3 last year) then it is definitely Joven Clarke.

What use are 40m stats? One of the quickest using that stat in League history would have been Jason Robinson, once of Wig@n, now rotting in Union. He was lightening over that kind of distance, but he couldn't last the full distance. I remember Bryan Henare eating him up over 60m.

Billy Slater looks the business.

Billy Slater who give any one in the top grade a run over a 100.

The best thing is in the off season he was out sprinted by to players at the Storm.

Steve Turner and Michael Crockett.

Over 40 metres, its Matty Reick with 4.30 secs.

They don't measure it over 100.

The second fastest was Shane Elford with 4.36 secs. Then it was Matt Cooper with I think 4.37 or 4.39.

I don't think Minichello or Slater even rated a mention in the top 4.

Funny how he got absolutely smoked by Justin Murphy at Shark Park last year. Murphy left him for dead.

You may be aware that the NRL also did a test for Who Wants to be a Millionaire's fastest finger - John Hopoate won.

Allthough many people wouldn't be aware of it yet as he hasn't really had the opputunity, Benji Marshall is one of the quickest at the tigers amoungst Fitzhenry, Elford, Miles, etc, but im not sure how he'd fare against the rest of the NRL at this point.

yeah but dont forget about fatigue, Rieck may have made twice as many tackles in the game more than murphy

I've seen the results in Big League but who gives a f**k about who is fastest over 40m? It's over the 100 that counts and with that in mind i'd say Eric Grothe for sure. He is like lightning and the way left Stu Kelly for dead, who is very fast in his own right, was awesome. Hhis try today was pretty special too.

Whether he is actually the fastest or not, he definately is the best to watch in full flight.

Phil Graham would smoke anyone over 100m
McLinden would smoke anyone over 40m

Stuff the big league stats they're measured in training. I'm talking game situations, running with that huge adrenaline factor.

Yeh i didnt see the big league stats but I find it hard to believe that Mark McLinden wasnt one of the top 3 over 40 metres. Over 100 metres he definately fades, but 40 is his pet event so to speak.

Aaron Barba would be right up there, I used to love watchin him play for Redcliffe, but he hasnt played NRL and probably never will so he cant count.

Slater I think would die off after bout 60 or 70, but thats just me guessing.
